Editorial policy
Honest Style Journal aims to make its explanations of clothing accurate, independent and clear about their limits. We distinguish observable details from opinion and revise material when a meaningful error is identified.
Accuracy and clarity
We check names, definitions and factual claims against appropriate sources before publication. Articles should explain relevant terms, avoid overstating what a garment feature can tell a reader and make clear when advice is a matter of preference rather than a fixed rule.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and relevance. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or editorial control. We do not invent testing, expertise, people or experiences to make a piece sound more authoritative.
Corrections and updates
Readers can flag possible errors through the Contact page. We review the concern and, when a correction is warranted, amend the relevant text and make the change clear where appropriate. Updates may also clarify wording or reflect a material change in the subject.
Partner material and illustrations
Sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations are AI-generated; where that applies, the illustration is identified accordingly. Images are not evidence that a garment or scene was tested or photographed first-hand.
